Planning Your Home Purchase
Planning Pays Off
Purchasing a home may be one of the most important decisions in your life affecting your lifestyle and financial future. Proper planning with both a short and long term outlook is vital to security and satisfaction with the outcome.
There are a number of things to consider that might affect your decision to buy a particular size or style of house. These would include your budget, current location, job security, possibility of work-required relocation, and children. If you buy a home that fits your life today but plan to expand your family in the future, you may have to make a choice between adding on to an existing home or moving up in the market to a bigger house. “Trading up” or adding on at a later date may cost you more than buying a larger, more expensive home today. On the other hand, you don’t want to buy more house than you need if you don’t think you will use the space later – or if you think your may be stretching your budget too thin.
Many of the older and historic homes in Fredericksburg were small, reflecting the economy and conservative nature of the German immigrant culture. Most of these homes have since been expanded to meet today's housing expectations. Homes built in recent years reflecting current trends in Hill Country architecture are generally large enough to accomodate most buyers.
A primary part of my job as your agent is to help you determine these short- and long-term goals. By listening carefully and asking pertinent questions, I can help you identify issues and concerns that you may not have yet considered. Establishing your priorities helps simplify searching and decision making. It also results in less stress and is more likely to have a satisfactory outcome. Knowing your expectations in the search for your new home in Fredericksburg or in the surrounding Texas Hill Country allows me to provide the high level of excellence in service that I expect to give each and every one of my clients.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
