My wife and I recently spent a Saturday evening attending a play produced by our fellow Fredericksburg Texas citizens.  Ere you presume that small town play equals small town shenanigans, I must say that the talent in this tiny metropolis can.. ‘knock your socks off’!.  Yes, little ole’, quaint and Texas Hill Country friendly; Fredericksburg Texas has high caliber ‘Off Broadway’ theatrical entertainment!

Oktoberfest in Fredericksburg Texas

October is a great month to visit Fredericksburg Texas!  Three days of fun and frolic celebrating the fall season is a great reason to check out the Texas Hill Country.  The original “Oktoberfest” occurred in Munich, on October 18, 1810.  Now considered the world largest fair, six million people attend annually in Bavaria.  Fredericksburg Texas was founded by German immigrants in 1846 and brought the tradition of the Bavarian Beer Festival with them.  For an authentic experience, plan to visit Fredericksburg next year on the first weekend of October and enjoy the sights, sounds and taste of the German heritage of our town.
