A Bed and Breakfast in Fredericksburg

Cabin in the Hills B&B in Fredericksburg TexasFredericksburg Texas and the Texas Hill Country are both well known as a place to go to get away from the hectic lifestyle of urban life.  Our Fredericksburg B&B is the perfect place to relax and regroup.  It consists of a square log cabin with an attached large kitchen, bathroom and bedroom.  The Cabin was brought down to the Texas Hill Country from Ohio and reassembled on our property approximately 20 years ago. There is a spiral staircase leading from the cabin up to a sleeping loft over the kitchen making the cabin a roomy place for up to 6 guests.

In order to rent our cabin, guests must call Mainstreet Bed and Breakfast Reservation Service.  They provide a scheduling and payment service for 22% of the rental.  As owners of the B&B, we provide a continental breakfast and cleaning.  This situation has worked well.  The service keeps us apprised of upcoming reservations and cancellations and always checks to see when it is convenient to for us ‘turn’ the cabin.

The people who rent the cabin usually leave it tidy.  We leave a personal note welcoming them to our cabin and I think that helps instill a sense of obligation to respect the property.  And truly they are welcome.  We keep a guest book and 9 times out of 10 the guests will take the time to chronicle their experience in Fredericksburg and their opinion of the cabin.  They usually rave about the cabin; it has atmosphere to spare and a home-like quality that puts people at ease.
