Celebrating Fredericksburg Texas Homes

Beginning the activities at noon, the Holiday Home Tour this past weekend featured historic homes, restored buildings and unique architectural structures throughout the area.  All locales were attended by volunteer docents who guided the curious attendees. During the popular Candle Light Tour later that evening, visitors were able to view three historic houses decked out in period decor and lit with candlelight.  Also included in the tour were the buildings and grounds of the Pioneer Museum and as a finale, carolers sang amidst volunteers serving wine and traditional German cookies.

Take a moment to learn more about the Pioneer Museum.  This institution provides an insight as to how the strong German heritage and pioneering spirit of this community developed.  And this spirit and self determination still contributes today to the unique character of Fredericksburg.
