Fireworks in Fredericksburg
Jul 27, 2009The Independence Day celebration begins in the heart of town at the Marktplatz or market square. Children dressed in costumes ride bikes, pull wagons or parade pets around the paths. Later on the action is on Main Street with a full blown procession of floats, horses, antique cars and musicians. And finally, the celebrations continue in the evening at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park with crowd pleasing fireworks.
Independence is an integral part of the heritage of Fredericksburg Texas. Fleeing the failed Revolution of 1848, German immigrants came to America determined to establish a new home. This proactive spirit of the original settlers is still reflected in Fredericksburg today. The large number of community organizations and annual civic events create a strong sense of community. A civic pride shows in the high quality and maintenance of Fredericksburg homes and neighborhoods.
Come investigate a place with a history of commitment to building a strong future. Invest in the high quality life of the Texas Hill Country through a home in Fredericksburg and join a community proactive in spirit!
