Fredericksburg Texas Home Buyers Get Tax Credit Extension
Nov 06, 2009Now in effect through the end of June, 2010, the bill also raises the income limits: single buyers up to $125,000 and married couples up to $225,000. Not only are the first time home buyers qualified for the $8,000 tax credit but now people who want to trade up may qualify for a $6,500 tax credit. Those persons who have owned and occupied a residence for at least five years out of the past eight and close on a purchase by the end of June are eligible for this opportunity.
The housing market in this country is a significant portion of the engine that drives our economy. Allowing a little elbow room to make real estate choices with what for most people is a major part of their capital wealth can only help but to put a little gusto in our national spirit. This American spirit is an independent and proactive one and the freedom to choose essential to its nature. The opportunity provided by these tax credits is a chance to choose an important change. But it does come with a time limit. And it could be that the time to choose is now.
