Fredericksburg Texas Real Estate in the Winter
Jan 09, 2009 Recently there has been dramatic news about snow fall in places like Las Vegas and other improbable locations. The midwest has been blanketed and this past holiday season saw many a stranded airport passenger. No wonder the predominate demographic shift going on is of people moving to the southwest part of the country. Meanwhile, here in the Texas Hill Country, we have our usual assortment of ‘moderate’ weather. We have had a few mornings awaken us with dripping ice on our yard fences and crisp mist out our windows but mostly the day warms up enough to get outside. This is early in winter, though. We do get a fair share of wind in Fredericksburg Texas; moderate compared to some but it can bite on a cold day.
For those of you who enjoy having four seasons, we get cold enough here to create the eager anticipation of spring but do not expect the thrill of a white winter. In the 17 years I have lived here, there have been only a few times where there was enough snow accumulation to call it ‘snow’. During our summers, it can be hot and occasionally humid but nothing like the roiling heat waves of a desert or the sweat drenching steaminess of the east part of Texas. It is nice here. Really.
Many Fredericksburg Texas home owners build their homes to accomodate our southwesterly breezes. Sitting on a porch with a crossbreeze on a summer morning looking out over the rolling Texas hills is a mighty fine way to start your day!
Don’t miss the opportunity to come see what Fredericksburg Texas real estate is all about. The time is now to find your place in the Texas Hill Country! Feel free to contact me for more information at (830) 456-6243.
Sincerely,
Brett A. Bruster
