Fredericksburg Texas - Rising to the Challenge
Jan 18, 2009Fredericksburg Texas – Rising to the Challenge
Fredericksburg is a destination town. We have tourists, honeymooners, family reunions, hunters and all kinds of club conventions. We have a great health care system, schools, and cultural art community. We get many inquiries about moving here. People are interested and moving to the Texas Hill Country and investing in Fredericksburg Texas real estate is their ‘Dream’.
But dreams sometimes take time to manifest. While many are searching the MLS for information about Fredericksburg real estate not many of the inquiries are progressing into sales. Many people talk about it, plan to do it, are looking out for the right time and piece of real estate, but the reality is that they simply cannot at this moment. Many are in a position where it is necessary to sell their current home in the market from which they are moving. A large percentage of these newcomers are retirees who plan to pay cash from the equity from their home.
In addition, as a destination city, Fredericksburg Texas has many second homeowners. With only an hour and a half or so between Fredericksburg and either San Antonio or Austin, we are an ideal choice for that special get-a-way. The second home real estate market is what I would call a discretionary real estate market. No one MUST buy a vacation home. This is not a purchase because someone has changed jobs. These potential Fredericksburg Texas homebuyers must be patient and will be back when they think the time is right.
The town of Fredericksburg Texas has undeniable appeal and has been noticed nationwide. There is a general trend of the population towards to the southwest and within the limelight; Fredericksburg shines as the ideal combination of what represents the best of the ‘West’.
